"Interesting" is a kind word. J.Lo may not be a horrible actress, but she is a horrible singer. I don't have much hope for this song. I hope I'm wrong, but I'm probably not...

Well...there's always this "big" [but overrated] reason..

Or perhaps he wants to put his name on the waiting list to be a future ex-Mr. Lopez..??

U2 went downhill right around the time Bono started wearing those stupid "elvis/elton john" glasses..

Actually...this thread title is very misleading..

Adam, Larry & the Edge have no control over what Bono does..so don't hold them accountable..

I'm sorry but dueting with J.Lo is a step up from Bono's "duet" with that talentless hack-bag Wyclef Jean.

A small step. But a step up nonetheless.

As a big Wyclef and Fugees fan, I'll just say "ouch" =\

I don't see what makes Bono KING of all singers. Why is J-Lo "not worthy" of his obvious marketing move?

U2 and Bono have sucked since '82.

I never said Bono was the king of all singers, but he is an accomplished musician and in my mind J-Lo isn't even a good singer she is merely a good dancer and performer, but she is not a good singer although she is talented at other things. I just think it's a really bad combination. In response to monkey, I think this DOES have to do with U2 because after all Bono is the focal point of the band whether you like it or not. He is the most recognizable and most important person in the band, therefore whatever his decisions are will reflect on the band whether it is positive or negative. But anyways enough U2 talk, I haven't liked their music for a long time.

</small>Well you've said in the thread title and in the quote that you don't have much time for U2, so perhaps he thinks that the justification you have made along the lines that Bono's actions reflect on the rest of the band whether they agree them or not is a trifle "convenient".

But I wouldn't want to put words in his mouth!

I guess I got a little off track from what I was saying in the topic, I just don't think it's a good career move for Bono and I just think it's kind of silly that's all.

I always thought Bono was a buffoon. He's like a caricature of himself now.

Actually, his full (albiet fake) name is Bono Vox -- Latin for "Good Voice". Sting's full, fake, name is Sting.

Don't be so quick to judge... maybe he's just going to use it for his answering machine.

I thought that Bono Vox name was of a store in Dublin, and that while he got his name from it, he has only ever gone by Bono.

J Lo : Great dancer. Decent actress (not the worst). Terrible "singer". In quotes because clearly her voice has A LOT of help with modern technology. You ever heard her sing live!? But what I really hate her for is her as a celebrity. And her that vapid boyfriend of hers. You know, the third Mr. Lopez.
